SHOWS 2007

A bonus year for the STDC with 3 shows instead of our usual 2.   The first being March 24th with Mr Mel Bungee from Australia, held at Ang Mo Kio CC.  Best In Show was Ms Juliet Toh's Yorkshire Terrier, Chotlada Story Affair (Imp Thailand).   The second show was held 26 August in conjunction with the Singapore Kennel Club's Championship Show at the Singapore Expo and our judge was Dr Passiri Nisalak from Thailand.  Best in Show was Mr Eugene Liang's Maltese, JKC & S'pore Ch Lovely Wing's Sound Illusion FCI (Imp Japan).  Our final and bonus show was held on 8 Dec at Orchidville in Mandai.  Our judge was Ms June Anderson from Australia and Best In Show was once again, Mr Eugene Liang's Maltese, JKC & S'pore Ch Lovely Wing's Sound Illusion FCI (Imp Japan).  With the great support from our members, we hope to be able to organise 3 shows per year in future.

A special mention must be made of one of our locally bred dogs who have caused a storm both at home and now overseas.  AKU Asian Ch, Philippines Hall Of Fame & S'pore Grand Champion Rarity's Idle Whispers, the Pekingese owned and bred by Mr Edwin Chua was Dog Of The Year in Singapore for 2 years running, 2005 and 2006.  In May 2007, Edwin sent his dog to compete in Philippines and he finished 2007 as #2 Top Dog All Breeds (PCCI System) and #3 Top Dog All Breeds (Nationwide).  No mean feat considering he amassed his points in 8 months out of 12 months in the show calendar!  We are very proud of our Singaporean Toy Dog representative!  Congratulations Edwin!
